Cardiologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina

A mission hospital is seeking a cardiologist for locum tenens coverage.Asheville, NC, offers a plethora of exciting activities, from exploring the Biltmore Estate, a historic marvel with breathtaking gardens and architecture, to indulging in the vibrant arts scene in the River Arts District. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor adventures like hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway or experiencing the local food and craft beer scene in downtown Asheville.Candidates must have an active NC license and DEA. The position involves covering weekend night call for cardiology from Friday to Sunday evening. Hours are 5 PM to 7 AM, with flexibility for later starts based on commute. The role requires comfort with Cardiac ICU admissions and management, including STEMI, unstable VT/VF, and cardiogenic shock, with support from the Interventional, EP, and Heart Failure teams. Board certification with ECG and ECHO reading skills is required. An APP will be available to assist during the shift, and the practice uses Cerner EMR.
